INNOVATION FOR A DIGITAL FUTURE |
This lunchtime workshop at the British Computer Society brought together women engaged in innovation and invention. Speakers were at various stages of the innovation journey, as were the delegates.

The event provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge and skills as well as being a great networking session, with 24 delegates and a panel of 6.

Innovative women shared their experiences and insights. There was an excellent range of participants. Eleanor, for example, is still in the process of launching her innovative website LikeCube and Brenda has been working in the field of invention and innovation for over 25 years, her latest invention, the Soundbug, recently reached the market. |

spoke on how she utilised developments in technology to transfer her knowledge and launch the innovative website, Villas For Travel. |

shared her experience of running a company designing and innovating smart material products after decades out off industry to raise her family. |

Julie Mayer , CEO, |
Ariadne Capital, gave an excellent talk on the history of innovation and enterprise, the UK’s policy surrounding entrepreneurship, how her venture capital firm operates to help transform innovative ideas into business opportunities. |
