Mentoring Circles TM are based on an innovative methodology which brings together Action Learning, Coaching and Mentoring in a dynamic and participatory way ... go to the mentoring circles website
Action Learning is arguably one of the most dynamic ways of developing people and businesses as research has proved that people learn better in groups and when their learning activities are more focused.
Mentoring relationships take the form of a mentoring circle, in which one mentor/facilitator leads a group of mentees. Mentoring relationships usually last 3-12 months. This approach to mentoring has proven very successful, allowing women returners who often face similar issues to support one another in finding solutions.
Women returners from a variety of backgrounds participated in the first Mentoring Circles programme in the UK aimed at women in ITEC.
The results were extremely positive!
"I learnt a lot about myself. I learnt a lot about the current job market, the changes that were occurring in the work place and also the problems that not just I was experiencing but a lot of other women who were returning to work"
"My self-confidence has improved just by being involved with women in similar situations"
